Genshin Impact 7.2 "Hour of Ruin" arrives today: Mitya, Valeriy and eastern Snezhnaya

Genshin Impact 7.2 "Hour of Ruin" arrives on November 4. The 5-star Electro character Mitya and the 4-star Valeriy join the roster, and eastern Snezhnaya opens for exploration.

Announced by HoYoverse on October 23, Genshin Impact Version 7.2, "Hour of Ruin", launches on November 4. Teyvat's seven nations gather in Snezhnaya, a new region opens and two new playable characters arrive.

New characters

Mitya (5-star, Electro, Catalyst): turns the party's Superconduct reactions into Stellar-Conduct reactions and boosts the party's Stellar-Conduct DMG. His Elemental Skill deals periodic Stellar-Conduct DMG, and holding it unleashes enhanced Charged Attacks. His Elemental Burst deals AoE Electro DMG.
Valeriy (4-star, Electro, Sword): a Major of the Armory Palace. He provides shields and boosts Electro DMG, especially in Stellar-Conduct teams.

Story and the new region

In the Archon Quest, the seven nations answer the Tsaritsa's call and gather in Snezhnaya against the spreading Holy Soil calamity. Eastern Snezhnaya opens for exploration. Key locations:

Novokitezhgrad: an underground city encased in Kresnik Kristall, reached by railway.
Wingspan Peak: east of Novokitezhgrad.
Old Kitezhgrad: Snezhnaya's first city, founded by the Belyi Tsar.
Teplo Oasis: where Mitya investigates the soil.

Rewards and events

Finish the Archon Quest within the set period for 560 Primogems and Character Ascension Materials for Mitya.
Secret Tsarist Assignments reward a Snezhnaya-themed Wind Glider.
A limited-time event, opened through the Archon Quest or "Quick Start", gives Primogems, enhancement materials and the chance to invite a 4-star character of your choice.
A filming event in Snezhnaya and a mining challenge in Natlan.
Miliastra Wonderland: a masquerade-themed lobby, expanded stage-editing tools and a free 4-star outfit set.

Banners

Phase 1: Mitya and Valeriy debut alongside a Furina rerun.
Phase 2: Zibai and Linnea return, with a new Chronicled Wish featuring certain Natlan characters.

Platforms

PS5, Xbox, PC, Android and iOS, with cross-progression and co-op across platforms. Check the in-game notices for maintenance times.

Your UID is shown in the bottom-right corner of the game screen and on your profile in the Paimon menu.
Pick the right server too: America, Europe, Asia or TW/HK/MO. If the UID and server don't match, the top-up won't reach your account.
When you copy your UID, make sure there are no extra spaces or digits.
