How to buy and sell CS2 skins: escrow and the 7-day trade protection
· 2 min read

Buying and selling on the Pinoras CS2 skin market step by step: linking Steam, escrow payments, Steam trades and why the seller's payout waits 8 days.
How it works, briefly
The CS2 skin market at Pinoras is player-to-player: players list skins from their own Steam inventory. The buyer's money stays in escrow until the skin is in their inventory; delivery is by Steam trade.
Buying a skin
- On Skins, filter by weapon type, exterior, float, rarity and price.
- Make an offer or buy at the listed price. The money is held in your wallet (escrow).
- The seller sends the skin to your Steam trade link. When the offer arrives, check the skin's name and exterior.
- Once it is in your inventory, press Received on the order.
Selling a skin
- Link your Steam account on the Steam tab of your account (you sign in through Steam; your password never reaches us).
- Load your inventory, pick the skin and set a price. Our team checks the listing and publishes it.
- When it sells, send it to the buyer's trade link and mark the order as sent.
- The buyer confirms; your share becomes withdrawable when Steam's trade protection ends.
Why the 8-day wait?
Steam protects CS2 items received in a trade for 7 days, and the sender can reverse the trade in that window. If the seller were paid the moment the buyer confirmed, they could take the money and pull the skin back. So the seller's share is released 8 days after sending. If the trade is reversed in the meantime, the buyer disputes the order and no payout is made.
Safety tips
- Accept trade offers only in the Steam app; never type your Steam password into a page someone sent you a link to.
- If your trade link changes, update it on the Steam tab of your account.
- To buy on the Steam Market instead, top up your wallet with a Steam wallet code.
