How to redeem EA FC Points and EA App codes
FC Points differ by console, while an EA App code adds a game to your library. The difference, and where each one goes.
There are two different EA codes, and confusing them causes most of the trouble.
An EA App code (game key)
Adds a game to your EA library.
- Open the EA App (or sign in at ea.com).
- The menu, bottom left → Redeem Code.
- Paste the code.
The game appears in your library, ready to download.
FC Points
FC Points buy Ultimate Team packs in EA SPORTS FC, and they are platform-specific:
- Points bought for PlayStation work only on a PlayStation account.
- Points bought for Xbox work only on Xbox.
- Points bought for PC (EA App) work only on PC.
They do not transfer. The product page says which platform; check before buying.
FC Mobile is a separate game and its points are not shared with the console version.
Where an FC Points code goes
On consoles the code is redeemed through that platform's store — Redeem Codes on PlayStation, Redeem code on Xbox. It effectively becomes a store code and the points appear in game.
On PC it is the EA App's own Redeem Code screen.
Season changes
Ultimate Team points carry across a season change, but your Ultimate Team squad does not. Worth bearing in mind before buying a large pack just before a new season.
Region
EA App game keys can carry regional restrictions; the product page says so. For FC Points the deciding factor is not region but platform.
