How to buy GTA 6 on PS5: account region and PlayStation wallet guide
GTA 6 arrives on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19 November 2026. Here is how to get your PlayStation account and wallet ready to buy it on day one.
When and where
Grand Theft Auto VI releases on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is no PC, PS4 or Xbox One version announced. Follow the countdown on our GTA 6 launch page.
Buying it on PS5
Digital from the PlayStation Store, or on disc. On a PS5 Digital Edition, digital is the only way — and the simplest way to pay is wallet funds from a PlayStation gift card: no card details, an exact amount.
Step by step: adding PlayStation wallet funds
- Check your account region: Settings → Users and Accounts → Account → Country/Region. A gift card only works in its own region.
- Buy a PlayStation gift card for that region on Pinoras. The code appears under Account → Orders the moment you pay.
- On PS5: PlayStation Store → … → Redeem code, enter the 12-character code.
- The amount is added at once; buy the game when it goes on sale.
Pre-load
Digital buyers can start downloading on 12 November 2026, a week before launch, so the game is ready to play on the 19th.
