How to redeem a Netflix gift card
A Netflix card pays towards your subscription. How it applies to an existing account, and the country rule.
A Netflix gift card adds balance to your account, and your monthly subscription is taken from it. You do not need to create a new account.
Where the code goes
- Go to netflix.com/redeem.
- Sign in to your Netflix account (or create one).
- Paste the code and press Redeem.
What happens to an existing subscription
If you already have a payment method, Netflix spends the balance first and only charges your card once the balance runs out. Your subscription is not interrupted.
Nothing is taken from your card while there is balance.
The country rule
Netflix gift cards are country-specific. A Türkiye card works for an account billed in Türkiye.
Your account's country is the country of the payment method you signed up with. Using a VPN does not change it.
Choosing a plan
The balance is independent of your plan — Basic, Standard or Premium, whichever you choose is deducted from it. A more expensive plan simply uses the balance up faster.
Balance is not refundable
Netflix balance cannot be cashed out or moved to another account. It stays on the account even if you cancel.
Ad-supported plans
Balance works the same way on ad-supported plans; there is no difference.
