How to redeem an Apple gift card
Apple balance covers the App Store, iCloud and Apple Music. How to redeem the code on iPhone, Mac or the web.
An Apple gift card adds balance to your Apple Account. That balance covers the App Store, iCloud+, Apple Music, iCloud storage and Apple's other services.
On iPhone or iPad
- Open the App Store.
- Tap your profile picture, top right.
- Choose Redeem Gift Card or Code.
- Tap You can also enter your code manually and paste it.
There is a camera option too, but it is not much use for a digital code.
On a Mac
App Store → your name, bottom left → Redeem Gift Card.
In a browser
Go to apple.com/redeem and sign in with your Apple Account.
Region — especially important with Apple
A Türkiye card only works on an account whose Apple Account country is Türkiye. You can check yours at:
Settings → your name → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region.
Changing country on Apple requires your balance to be zero. So buying the wrong region and planning to switch afterwards does not work: you cannot spend the card, and while you could change country without spending it, the card stays unusable.
What the balance buys
Apps and games, in-app purchases, subscriptions and iCloud storage. It cannot be used for hardware — that is a different kind of card.
Family Sharing
Apple balance is not shared. In Family Sharing each member has their own balance; shared purchases use the organiser's payment method.
