WoW: Forever is out: how to start, what's in it and when raids open

WoW: Forever is live. There is no separate game to buy, a subscription or Game Time is enough. Check your region first; the level 60 raids open on 9 December.
World of Warcraft: Forever is live. It launched worldwide at the same moment, 4 November at 3:00 p.m. PST (11 p.m. GMT, midnight in central Europe). We had a countdown on our WoW: Forever page; now you can play.
What do you need?
There is no separate game to buy. WoW: Forever is included with a World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time. The Skyborne Heroic/Epic Packs and the Warcraft Forever Collection are optional.
Before you start: check your region
Game Time and Battle.net balance are tied to your account's region:
- Check your region at account.battle.net.
- Pick WoW EU Game Time for a European account or WoW US Game Time for an Americas account.
- For the optional packs in the Battle.net Shop, Battle.net gift card balance works too.
Redeem the code under Account › Redeem a code on Battle.net.
What's in it?
- A new level 1–60 adventure on the original continents with over 1,000 quests
- New and reimagined zones: Mount Hyjal, Shen'dralas, the Riverglades and Zephras Isle for levels 1–12
- The new Skyborne race and six new race–class combinations
- Nine new five-player dungeons for levels 13–60
- The 15 vs 15 battleground Darkspear Islands
- Normal, PvP, Roleplay and Roleplay PvP rulesets; the Camping and Legacy systems
What's next?
The level 60 raids Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit and Onyxia's Lair open on 9 December; Onyxia also needs its attunement steps. Hardcore is coming some time after launch, with no date yet.
Launch queues
Login queues and a short maintenance window are normal on launch night. If you can't get in, wait a little and try again.
