Metin2 update 26.2 arrives October 13: solo Infernal Dungeons, Yin-Yang seals, trusted channels

Gameforge announced Metin2 update 26.2 today: it reaches all servers on October 13. Level 75+ characters get solo Infernal Dungeons, gear gets Yin-Yang seals, and new servers will test trusted channels against bots; the Halloween event started today.
Gameforge's community teams announced update 26.2, Aamon's Legacy, on the official Metin2 forums today. It arrives on all servers on Tuesday, October 13, 2026; no maintenance hour was given, only that it lands in the morning. The same week brought the Halloween event and, for the Turkish servers, an age-verification notice for November. Here is everything in one place.
Infernal Dungeons: solo, tiered runs
The headline feature is the new Infernal Dungeons system. Existing open dungeons are being converted into single-player, instanced versions with several difficulty tiers; the first one is Infernal Dungeon: Depths of Greed.
- Requirements: Character level 75 or higher, plus a quest series that starts with NPC Uriel and a new Taoist NPC.
- Tickets: Combine regular Passage Tickets to craft dungeon tickets of levels 1 to 5.
- Modifier tickets: Special crafting produces tickets that change the rules of a run, for example Metin stones spawning inside or enemies switching element.
- Rewards: Experience, Yang, crafting materials for the new Infernal costumes, and the new Yin and Yang seals.
Yin and Yang seals
Two kinds of gear seals that work as a pair:
- Yin seals set the trigger: on resurrection, at a given HP threshold, or when an effect is applied.
- Yang seals set the effect: less damage while Blood Rage is active, resurrecting invisible, shackling an enemy, a poison chance, bonuses that scale with SP or HP, extra damage against low-HP monsters, and more.
An in-game codex lists every Yin-Yang combination and what it does.
Everything else in 26.2
- Yohara events: The World Boss, Boss Reaper and Monster Bash events now include the Yohara map.
- New Aura costumes: They can be upgraded on their own, or their look can be transferred to your existing Aura through Theowahdan. Details follow in a separate announcement.
- Trusted channels: An anti-bot experiment. On selected future server launches some channels (3 and 4) will be open only to players marked as trusted, while channel 1 stays open to everyone. The team says it will ask for feedback after launch.
Important: Claim any pending World Boss rewards before the morning of October 13; they may be lost with the update. The Turkish community manager clarified that this concerns rewards sent instantly on a boss kill, not stored ranking rewards.
Halloween: the Yutnori event started today
Separately from the update, the Yutnori at Halloween event opened on October 8 at 00:00 CEST. Monsters drop birch logs; combine 28 of them into a Yutnori board and play against the computer, racing two pieces to the finish according to your stick throws. Finishing a game grants a 30-minute buff: 20 percent EXP, 5 percent item drop and 10 percent power against monsters. The event market sells costumes, hats, pets and mounts with set bonuses of up to 150 percent EXP. Drops and the market run until October 31, and the event closes on November 1 at 23:59 CET. The announcement notes the event opened late on day one and was then fixed.
The item shop also carries Halloween costumes, mounts and weapon skins from October 8 to October 20; the costume transfer token is limited to 5 per 7 days.
Age verification on the Turkish servers in November
On October 7 the Turkish community team announced that age verification will become mandatory under Turkish regulation. It applies to players in Turkey and to everyone playing on the Turkish servers, and is expected to start in early November 2026; exact dates and steps will follow in an October announcement. The only preparation suggested now is to make sure the e-mail address on your Gameforge account is current: log in, click your username at the top right, open Settings, check the address and confirm a new one if needed.
What players are saying
The official thread has no player replies yet, but a summary thread in the Turkish forum's general discussion area gathered a dozen responses. Solo dungeons and the trusted-channel experiment are broadly welcomed; several players wrote that these touch real problems. The criticism centres on features requested for years that still have not come: inventory slots, marketplace changes and the Yang cap. Some see the new dungeons as old zones with swapped elements and say hundreds of suggestions went unanswered.
Getting ready
Dungeon tickets and the new seals will cost Yang. Pick your server and character name on our Metin2 Yang page, and see how to buy Metin2 Yang and Won for the step-by-step guide. Other Metin2 products are on the Metin2 page.
