Metin2 update 26.2 lands today: Turkish servers go down at 09:00 for a longer maintenance

Metin2 update 26.2 is being installed this morning. On the Turkish servers maintenance starts at 09:00 local time and the team says it will take longer than usual, with the reopening announced on the forum, Discord and WhatsApp. Here is what to do first afterwards.
Update day is here for Metin2: update 26.2, Aamon's Legacy, is being installed today. On the Turkish servers maintenance starts on Tuesday, October 13 at 09:00 Turkey time (06:00 UTC). The community team's notice says that because a game update is being applied the downtime will be longer than usual; no end time was given. The reopening will be posted in the same forum thread, on Discord and on the WhatsApp channel.
We covered the contents in detail on announcement day: Metin2 update 26.2: Infernal Dungeons, Yin-Yang seals, trusted channels. This post collects the practical details for today.
Today's schedule
- 09:00 Turkey time: Maintenance begins and the Turkish servers go offline.
- End: Not announced. The team only says it will take longer than a regular weekly maintenance; the reopening notice goes into the maintenance thread.
- Changelog: Gameforge said a detailed changelog, including bug fixes, would be posted on the forums when the update is released. It had not been published when this post was written.
The World Boss warning also applied up to this morning: rewards sent instantly on a boss kill were to be claimed before the update.
What to do first after maintenance
- Level 75 or higher? Visit NPC Uriel; a short quest series leads to the new Taoist NPC and the first solo dungeon, Infernal Dungeon: Depths of Greed.
- Keep your Passage Tickets. Dungeon tickets of levels 1 to 5 are crafted by combining regular Passage Tickets.
- Yin and Yang seals drop as dungeon rewards. The new in-game codex shows what each combination does.
- Playing on Yohara? The World Boss, Boss Reaper and Monster Bash events now apply on those maps too.
- New Aura costumes may not arrive today; their release date will be announced separately.
Item shop: today only on the Turkish servers
According to two item-shop notices on the official Turkish forum, these are on sale from October 13, 01:00 to October 14, 00:59 Turkey time:
- New items that come with the update: the Taoist's Special Empowerment (7, 15 and 30 days) and a Yin Yang slot-opening ticket. The notice does not explain what they do and says the names may change after the update to match the in-game text.
- Passage ticket offer: Passage Tickets, Yohara and Serpent Temple entries and a few other items are discounted in the same window. The Yohara and Serpent Temple entries are limited to one per day.
What players are saying
The discussion thread on the Turkish forum has grown to almost fifty replies. Solo dungeons remain the best-received feature; players see them as an answer to cheating and crowded farming spots, and hope the reward and difficulty balance holds. The trusted-channel experiment is met with scepticism. Over the last day the loudest complaints were about the current state of the game instead of the update: being dropped to the login screen in the evenings, the channel count staying the same for years, and crowding on merged servers. Of two comments posted this morning, one criticises item-shop products going on sale before the update is even installed, and the other notes there is no trailer and expects players to discover the details themselves.
Getting ready
Dungeon tickets and seals will cost Yang. Pick your server and character name on our Metin2 Yang page, and see how to buy Metin2 Yang and Won for the step-by-step guide. Other Metin2 products are on the Metin2 page.
