Why the region on a gift card matters
A Türkiye gift card will not work on an account registered elsewhere. What region means, and how to check which one your account is in.
The most common problem with gift cards is not a faulty code — it is the wrong region. A PlayStation card bought for Türkiye will not work for someone whose account is in Germany. The code is valid; it simply does not belong to that account.
What region means
Store accounts belong to a country, and balance is held in that country's currency. A gift card is the same: a Türkiye card loads Turkish lira, and only an account on the Türkiye store will take it.
This is not a restriction we invented. Prices differ by country, so the platforms do not let balance move between them.
How to check your account's region
- PlayStation — Settings → Users and Accounts → Account → Country/Region.
- Steam — "Store Country" on the Account Details page.
- Xbox — Country or region in your Microsoft account settings.
- Apple — Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region.
- Google Play — Play Store → Profile → Settings → General → Account and device preferences.
If you are unsure, check before you buy. It takes thirty seconds.
Changing region later
Most platforms allow it, but not easily: your balance usually has to be zero, sometimes you must have no active subscription, and often you need a valid payment method in the new country. Do not buy a code planning to change region afterwards — if it does not work you are left holding a code you cannot use.
Where we print the region
Every product with a regional restriction says so beside the product name and next to the buy box. You will also see it in the category names: "Apple Gift Card Türkiye" and "Apple Gift Card USA" are two different products.
What if I buy the wrong region
Because the code has been delivered and is itself valid, it is not refundable. We say that plainly because it is the one thing worth knowing before you buy. If the region printed on the product page is wrong — that is, if the mistake is ours — then we do refund it.
When in doubt, ask support before ordering. Answering takes a minute; the wrong code cannot be taken back.
