GTA 6 radio stations revealed: six channels in preview, podcasts come to the series for the first time

On October 8, Rockstar Games published a Newswire post dedicated to the music of Grand Theft Auto VI and introduced the first six in-game radio stations. A short preview of each station can be heard in the Music section of the official site. According to Rockstar, GTA VI will have the widest-ranging radio selection in the series so far, spanning everything from classic rock to talk radio, although the other channels have not been named yet. The game launches on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The six stations at a glance

Rockstar's own text names the hosts only by their in-game names; the real names in brackets are as reported by the press.

• Cocoteo FM: modern Latin music, from bachata and merengue to dembow and reggaeton. Hosted by El Martillo and La Gata (reportedly Bad Bunny and RaiNao).
• Back Country Radio: renegade country broadcast to the Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn. Hosted by MW and Delta Dawne (reportedly Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey), with swamp meteorologist Mud Dog Mike checking in from his airboat.
• AfroBank FM: African music from 20th-century classics to amapiano and 3-step. Hosted by Burna and Palmsy (reportedly Burna Boy and Palms Trax).
• The Chamber 106.6: decades of metal anthems. Hosted by DJ Kerry and DJ Tom (reportedly Kerry King and Tom Araya of Slayer).
• Flash FM: the pop station returning from 2002's Vice City, which Rockstar calls a "Vice City institution". Hosted by Robyn and Alex (reportedly Robyn and Alex Consani).
• Dirty South Classics: regional rap and hip-hop classics. Hosted by Trick and Trina (reportedly Trick Daddy and Trina).

Podcasts and headphones

The newest detail is outside the radio dial: GTA VI introduces on-demand podcasts for the first time in the series. Jason and Lucia can listen through headphones and earbuds connected to their in-game smartphones, so radio and podcasts no longer stay in the car but keep playing while you walk around. Rockstar says details on the game's dynamic score and more singles from the album will follow.

The album and the store

• Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album arrives on November 19 with 34 original tracks; digital pre-save and vinyl and CD pre-orders are open. Singles from Travis Scott, Cardi B, Fuerza Regida, Rauw Alejandro, Morgan Wallen, Yung Lean and Keith Richards, among others, can already be heard on the official site.
• The same day, a Grand Theft Auto VI Collection of merchandise was listed at the Rockstar Store.

The calendar until launch

So far Rockstar has officially confirmed only the November 19 release date; the digital preload day and the launch time have not been announced. We will share any new information on our GTA 6 campaign page and on the blog. Our guide how to buy GTA 6 on PS5 explains the purchase step by step.

What players are saying

In the GTA VI thread on the Turkish site Ekşi Sözlük, October 9 belonged to The Chamber 106.6: one writer plans to lock the dial on the station hosted by Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya and just walk around, another recalls discovering rock and metal legends through V-Rock in Vice City and reviews the three tracks previewed for the new station (Black Sabbath, Pantera and Slayer) one by one. The countdown continues too; next to those posting "40 days to launch" there are people dismissing the game as a "bubble" and others pushing back by pointing to Rockstar's field research in Florida. Part of the thread discusses leaked footage; we do not cover leaks. On Technopat the agenda is different: the #WeWantGTA6inTurkish campaign for official Turkish language support and a member's 23-minute Turkish subtitle project for the Extended Look video are the talk of the forum, while people still ask how RTX 4060 systems and the Xbox Series S will run the game (a PC version has not been officially announced).

Balance for launch day

If you plan to buy the game on PS5, you can use a PlayStation gift card that matches your account's region; for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox gift cards are on the site. Every platform is on the gift cards page, and GTA 6 specifics are on the campaign page.
