The Steam Autumn Sale is live: it ends on October 8

The Steam Autumn Sale, one of the store's big seasonal events, landed in the first week of October this year. According to the schedule Valve shares with developers, the sale started on October 1 and ends on Thursday, October 8 at 10 a.m. Pacific (20:00 GMT+3). That leaves four days to decide.

Dates

• Start: Thursday, October 1, 10 a.m. Pacific (20:00 GMT+3)
• End: Thursday, October 8, 10 a.m. Pacific (20:00 GMT+3)

Which games are on sale?

According to Technopat's roundup, the headline titles include:

• Baldur's Gate 3
• Cyberpunk 2077
• Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
• DOOM: The Dark Ages
• S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl
• Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
• Hades II
• Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
• Recent releases such as ARC Raiders, 007 First Light and Forza Horizon 6

We do not list prices or percentages: discounts differ from game to game, and the current price is always on the game's store page. Part of the front page is personalised, so the list you see may differ from someone else's. Reportedly, completing your Discovery Queue also earns sale-themed stickers.

The next Steam events

Valve's Steamworks calendar shows the rest of the year like this:

• Cooking Fest: October 12 – 19
• Steam Next Fest: October 19 – 26 (free demos of upcoming games)
• Steam Scream V: October 26 – November 2 (horror games)
• Auto-Battler RPG Fest: November 16 – 23
• Winter Sale: December 17, 2026 – January 4, 2027

If you miss this one, the next big seasonal sale on the calendar is the Winter Sale.

What players are saying

In a "what did you buy" thread on the Turkish forum Technopat Sosyal, two camps stand out:

• Buyers lean towards racing games and recent releases: the Forza series, 007 First Light and Space Marine 2 come up most. Some spent their leftover balance on trading cards to raise their profile level.
• Skippers say their libraries are already full of unplayed games. The advice repeated most often: do not buy what you will not play right away.

Before you buy

• Check your wishlist; games that are on sale are marked there.
• Know Steam's refund rule: a refund can be requested within 14 days of purchase for games played less than 2 hours.
• Load your balance ahead of time: see our Steam Wallet codes. The region and currency of the code must match your account.
• Playing on console? See our gift cards page.
